Own the company’s accounting and financial operations as its first full-time accounting hire. Build scalable, audit-ready processes; implement and optimize financial systems; manage external accounting, tax, audit, vendor, and government partners; establish expense and procurement policies; and support finance, legal, HR, office, and other cross-functional initiatives. The role requires strong startup judgment, attention to detail, systems expertise, and process automation skills.

Responsibilities include building scalable, audit-ready processes; implementing and optimizing financial systems; managing tax, bookkeeping, vendor, government, and audit partners; developing expense and procurement policies; and supporting cross-functional finance, legal, HR, office, real estate, compensation, cash management, and contracting initiatives.

Lead a 0->1 marketplace product: run user discovery, define MVP, launch and iterate, design workflows for human and automated participants, drive roadmap with a small engineering team, measure and improve matching, and brief executive leadership.
