Performs CT scans safely and accurately according to hospital policies, radiological standards, and ACR requirements. Verifies patients, procedures, protocols, and scanner parameters; administers IV contrast; maintains equipment quality and supplies; coordinates patient care; and trains students or technologists. The role requires independent judgment, patient communication, radiation safety knowledge, and collaboration across departments in a high-acuity trauma-center environment.

Performs CT imaging procedures under the supervision of certified CT technologists while completing a six-month training program and CT certification requirements. Responsibilities include verifying patients and procedures, following imaging protocols, administering IV contrast, maintaining safety and quality standards, operating CT equipment, coordinating patient care, completing quality control, and maintaining supplies and work areas. Upon certification, the trainee transitions to Tufts Medical Center to provide CT services in a Level I Trauma Center.

Provides administrative and clinical office support, including patient scheduling, check-in, insurance verification, referral management, copayment collection, medical record preparation, billing support, patient-flow monitoring, and physician clerical assistance. The role also handles phone and in-person patient interactions, maintains confidential information, performs general office duties, and supports practice improvement projects.
