Sets up and operates manual machine tools to produce precision parts, interpret blueprints, calculate machining parameters, select tooling, monitor operations, and inspect finished workpieces. Designs fixtures, performs routine machine maintenance, troubleshoots out-of-tolerance conditions, and ensures safety and quality standards. Requires strong mathematics, blueprint comprehension, problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and independent judgment.

Develop and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis mill-turn machining centers using Mastercam and related CAD/CAM software. Select tooling and fixtures, develop toolpaths, create setup sheets, update programs for engineering revisions, and troubleshoot production issues with machinists and engineers. Read technical drawings, inspect work, maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, and support machining operations as needed.

Design and draft industrial pipe and tube machining/welding tools and machinery using SolidWorks and ASME Y14.5M standards. Produce manufacturing/assembly drawings, tolerance analysis, BOMs in NetSuite, and specify materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes. Design electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Manage medium-to-large projects with high independence, support proposals and cost/risk analyses, and build/assemble/test prototypes in an R&D shop.

Lead industrial design of pipe and tube machining tools from concept through production. Apply ergonomics, sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, and validation. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and manufacturing, produce ASME Y14.5M drawings in SolidWorks, manage projects, maintain BOMs in NetSuite, perform user research, and support proposals and testing in an R&D shop.

Set up, program (Mazatrol, Fanuc, G-code) and operate CNC mills and lathes (VTL, Mazak, BTH) to produce parts to blueprint and GD&T tolerances. Load tooling, inspect parts, troubleshoot machines, maintain tooling and fluids, design fixtures, deburr/blend parts, and communicate issues to supervisors. Maintain safety, quality, documentation, and cross-train as needed.
