Manages the bank’s problem loan portfolio by analyzing credit risk, borrower finances, collateral, and loan documentation. Develops and negotiates collection, restructuring, workout, and liquidation strategies; monitors borrower performance; coordinates with legal counsel and internal teams; and oversees foreclosure or collateral disposition activities. Ensures accurate risk ratings, nonaccrual reporting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to bank policies while maximizing recovery and mitigating losses.

Maintains customer and account records in bank core systems, processes documentation and regulatory forms, reviews closed accounts and returned mail, posts fees, scans and indexes documents, adjusts mobile deposit limits, and supports branches and internal departments. The role requires accurate data maintenance, professional communication, regulatory compliance, task prioritization, customer service, and independent work with moderate supervision.

Handles Regulation E ACH and debit card disputes, merchant disputes, fraud investigations, chargebacks, and customer communications. The role researches claims, gathers documentation, processes transactions through claims systems, ensures regulatory compliance, identifies fraud trends, and coordinates with Compliance, Internal Audit, Fraud Investigations, and ACH Operations. Specialist II responsibilities additionally include independent investigations, evidence retention, final-resolution analysis, and financial abuse reporting.
