Lead month-end close, prepare statutory and management financial statements and filings, reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, manage SOX controls and audits, mentor accounting staff, identify process improvement/automation opportunities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate timely reporting for insurance entities.

Prepare and manage insurance rate, rule, and form filings; communicate with state insurance departments; handle NAIC licensing and agent appointments; maintain portals and policy issuance updates; assist underwriting compliance, SIU reporting, and reporting requirements; train staff and perform occasional travel; maintain on-site office presence.

The Senior Accountant supervises accounting tasks such as ledger transactions, reconciliations, audits, and provides support for financial reporting. They mentor staff, manage communication on accounting issues, and implement solutions for discrepancies.
