Ensure FCC compliance and broadcast continuity, make independent emergency decisions, manage vendors and capital planning, develop technical standards, and respond to after-hours failures. The role requires frequent travel to remote transmitter sites, on-call availability, ladder climbing, and high-voltage safety practices.
