Provides second-line compliance oversight and regulatory advice within a mortgage and lending business. Responsibilities include interpreting FCA requirements, particularly MCOB and Consumer Duty; reviewing policies and customer communications; identifying conduct risks; supporting regulatory change; conducting horizon scanning; advising stakeholders; maintaining compliance frameworks; and preparing management information, reports, dashboards, and briefings.

Supports the Tax Manager with UK corporation tax and VAT compliance, tax return preparation, tax provisions, cash-flow management, R&D and capital allowance claims, tax policy maintenance, legislative updates, and project-based tax advice. Partners with Finance, Treasury, HR, Procurement, and IT while liaising with external advisors, auditors, and regulators. The role requires ACA or CTA qualification and 3–5 years of UK tax experience.

Provides second-line desktop and service desk support through phone, email, remote, and face-to-face channels. Responsibilities include incident resolution, SLA-based queue management, IT asset and license administration, onboarding and access management, technical escalation, mentoring, documentation, IT project support, technology deployment, root cause analysis, and change control within an ITIL-aligned environment.
