Leads the Ph.D. program’s strategic growth, recruitment, academic quality, curriculum development, student progression, dissertation oversight, faculty coordination, assessment, and program administration. The director collaborates with enrollment, marketing, admissions, faculty, and university leadership to strengthen enrollment, retention, completion, scholarly visibility, and program operations. Occasional domestic and international travel supports recruitment and immersive experiences.

Provides proactive academic advising and student success support from onboarding through graduation. Develops academic plans, monitors student progress and engagement, identifies at-risk students, coordinates interventions and campus resources, assists with registration and degree progression, documents outreach, and collaborates with faculty and university departments to improve retention, persistence, belonging, and completion.
