Transports patients to and from Radiology, verifies identification and orders, uses safety equipment and proper body mechanics, documents medical records, and provides compassionate patient care. The role requires effective communication, cooperation with patients and families, and coverage across applicable sites. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations across abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, pediatric, breast, thyroid, and procedural applications. Reviews orders, prepares and positions patients, obtains medical histories, selects technical parameters, documents examinations, maintains imaging equipment, and supports patient safety and comfort. Provides inpatient on-call coverage and shift rotation, and may mentor students or new hires.

Supports diagnostic imaging department flow by entering physician orders, preparing films and CDs, routing calls, transporting patients, and documenting medical records. Requires a high school diploma, moderate computer skills, and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Previous medical or direct patient care experience is preferred.
