Leads manufacturing strategy, factory layout, process development, facility commissioning, capital equipment acquisition, and scale-up for high-temperature superconducting magnet production. Partners with design and physics teams on manufacturability, manages tooling and automated assembly systems, establishes process engineering and continuous improvement frameworks, resolves supplier and manufacturing bottlenecks, mentors technical staff, and oversees schedules, risks, and capital expenditures.

Leads thermal and cryogenic design for high-temperature superconducting magnet systems and test facilities. Responsibilities include modeling cooling systems, thermal and structural FEA, specifying cryogenic hardware, conducting prototype testing from 20K to 77K, troubleshooting vacuum and thermal issues, and mentoring engineers. The role requires deep expertise in cryogenic engineering, vacuum systems, low-temperature materials, superconducting magnet cooling, cryocoolers, thermal simulation, CAD, cryogen handling, and sensor integration.

Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale high-temperature superconducting magnet systems for fusion hardware. Responsibilities include HTS cable and magnet design, multiphysics analysis, quench protection, manufacturing oversight, electro-mechanical and cryogenic integration, qualification testing, failure analysis, vendor management, commissioning, and program risk mitigation. The role requires extensive experience with fusion-scale superconducting magnets, large manufacturing programs, cryogenic testing, and cross-functional systems engineering leadership.
