Leads business analysis and data governance initiatives, including requirements elicitation, risk analysis, conceptual data modeling, business glossary and information catalogue development, stakeholder workshops, and data architecture support. Prepares business cases and governance documentation, manages changes to data artefacts, and supervises a Data Governance Officer. Requires strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and enterprise architecture capabilities.

Lead the Awards team in delivering post-award research administration services across the University of Queensland. Manage complex funding agreements, advise on compliance and contractual matters, develop staff, build stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement, policy development, governance, and operational effectiveness initiatives.

Leads the Research Office’s pre-award function, overseeing competitive grant submissions, major funding rounds, compliance, proposal quality, and casual staffing. Manages and develops the pre-award team, builds relationships with academic leaders, supports funding policies and guidance, coordinates agreement reviews with Legal Services, and improves the MyResearch platform and related workflows. The role requires extensive research funding experience, people leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of major funding schemes including ARC, NHMRC, and MRFF.
