Provides commercial legal advice across research, enterprise, procurement, partnerships, innovation, intellectual property, data sharing, governance, and public-sector regulatory matters. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates agreements; supports commercialisation and revenue-generating activity; advises senior leaders on legal risk; and contributes to legal literacy and continuous improvement. The role is full-time and permanent within the University of Auckland’s legal, risk, and governance function.

Coordinate daily operations of the Clinical Research Centre and specialised clinics, managing room bookings, equipment, supplies, facilities, front‑of‑house service, onboarding, health & safety compliance, PMS training, and administrative/financial support to enable teaching, research, and clinical activities.

Design, implement, and govern technical security controls for systems processing sensitive health data. Conduct security assessments, validate controls, produce risk and assurance documentation, partner with product and engineering teams, and improve security standards, tooling, and governance to maintain compliance with health security frameworks.
