Teams at The Umstead Hotel and Spa

Lead and oversee hotel engineering operations, preventive maintenance, repairs, vendor coordination, safety and regulatory compliance, capital projects, utility management, and team development to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-ready property.

Perform daily kitchen cleaning tasks including washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and service items; maintain floor care, trash and grease removal; keep dish pit and storage sanitary and organized; follow safety procedures and assist kitchen leadership.

Perform groundskeeping and landscaping tasks for hotel and spa property: turf care, fertilizing, pruning, irrigation maintenance, chemical application, planting, leaf and debris removal, snow/ice removal, and general property upkeep. Role requires weekend work and manual labor.
