Accounting Intern supporting a nonprofit finance department with general ledger transactions, chart-of-accounts organization, audit schedules, reconciliations, documentation, and month-end and year-end processes. The role provides hands-on nonprofit accounting experience, audit preparation exposure, and mentorship from the CFO, Controller, and accounting team.

Supports the Human Resources Director with HR compliance, EEOC reporting, performance management, onboarding and offboarding, HRIS records, benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, job fairs, training, and process improvement. Conducts HR research, prepares reports, assists with employee communications, and collaborates with departments on people-focused initiatives while handling confidential information.

Supports marketing and communications through email campaigns, social media, website and blog content, newsletters, editorial work, campaign development, analytics, and reporting. The intern assists the marketing team, learns marketing tools and techniques, collaborates with staff and volunteers, and develops professional skills while promoting the organization’s mission and impact.
