Provides nursing care for children at an outdoor education center, including medication administration, patient assessment, emergency response, care coordination, health education, documentation, and chronic or acute condition management. The nurse collaborates with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams, maintains patient privacy, develops care plans, and operates within the California RN scope of practice. The role requires living onsite during school weeks and responding to emergency calls around the clock.

Maintains cleanliness across dining, lodging, administrative, and common areas by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, removing trash, recycling, and restocking restrooms. Assists with dining hall setup and teardown, site-wide duties, group logistics, luggage transportation, and answering visitor questions. Works 25–30 hours weekly and must safely lift up to 50 pounds while following directions and maintaining dependable, detail-oriented service.

Seasonal Academic Naturalists teach life, physical, and earth science to students through experiments and outdoor activities. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery, hiking, archery, zip lining, rock climbing, challenge courses, environmental projects, and occasional nighttime chaperoning. Staff work five full days weekly in a residential camp from February 20 through June 9. Training, dorm-style housing, meals, and other amenities are provided.
