Provide human spaceflight safety support across development, operations and decommissioning: implement/verify safety requirements, review contractor safety plans, support mission operations and astronaut safety assessments, perform PRAs, human error analyses and HITL tests, track safety issues, support certification (rendezvous/docking, CLDs), investigate mishaps, liaise with partners, and produce weekly activity reports.

Provide expert technical support to ESA on spacecraft on-board computers and data handling across project phases. Develop, verify and validate data handling elements and end-to-end chains, support lab facilities (AI, payload, ADHA/RASTA, CubeSat), run integration and validation campaigns, assist procurement, contribute to R&D roadmaps, and transfer knowledge across ESA. Support CDF activities and participate in reviews and documentation.

Provide product assurance and RAMS support for space programs: manage anomalies and non-compliances, support ARBs, monitor closure plans, perform trend analysis, maintain RAMS baselines and ILS data, review FMECA/FTA analyses, support spare stock dimensioning, assist software product assurance for safety/certification, and follow up on audit findings.

Lead and coordinate payload integration for ESA missions at ESTEC: manage partner agreements, review experiment requirements and development reviews, support payload and launcher integration, monitor safety and CoFR closure, produce status reports and schedules, and participate in mission coordination meetings to ensure payloads meet timelines and certification requirements.

Design, operate, and modernize EarthLab's infrastructure and DevOps platform (Max-ICS). Maintain Linux/data-center systems, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, CI/CD and automation. Implement observability, backups, DevSecOps practices, and support AI/satellite-data workloads. Drive cloud/hybrid migrations, identify and remediate infrastructure risks, produce documentation, and collaborate with engineers and data scientists. Must be eligible for EU security clearance.

Provide systems engineering support for small-satellite in-orbit technology demonstration projects across all phases: requirements management, architecture and subsystem design, trade studies, budgets, verification/qualification, risk mitigation, launch/LEOP support, industrial monitoring, and interfacing with external stakeholders and operations.

Administer and evolve the IBM Rational DOORS requirements environment for European space programs. Ensure configuration control, traceability, compliance, and data integrity; develop DOORS scripts/templates and reporting (IBM PUB); support interfaces with DMS; collaborate with agencies, contractors, and engineering teams; provide user support, training, and continuous process improvement.

Provide independent cost estimates and risk margins for ESA phases, support tender evaluations and project reviews, develop and maintain cost databases and tools, contribute to cost data gathering, exploratory analysis, predictive cost models, and visualizations to support studies and negotiations.

Support ESA at ESTEC on satellite telecommunication system analysis and simulations: prepare tenders, manage industrial R&D, perform hands-on technical analyses, develop SATCOM technology roadmaps, and support ESA-wide telecom projects. Requires SATCOM systems knowledge, 3GPP 5G expertise, simulation experience, programming skills, security clearance eligibility, and relocation to the Netherlands.

Provide technical support for ESA microelectronics projects (ASICs, FPGAs, IP cores): requirements, design review, verification, validation and qualification. Support R&D, IP Cores service, laboratory setup and testing, procurement advice, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Work on-site at ESTEC in the Netherlands; must be eligible for EU security clearance and relocate.

Install, configure and maintain Linux workstation/server environments and containerised simulation components. Operate Kubernetes clusters, integrate C++/Java/Python simulation components, implement logging/KPI pipelines, support multi-node simulation demos, interface with SDR/RF and hardware-in-the-loop setups, debug distributed simulation issues, and document procedures and baselines.
