Leads complex medical-device manufacturing quotes, defining feasibility, manufacturing strategies, cost models, risks, lead times, and customer proposals. Provides DFM guidance, CAD support, process and supplier evaluations, capability assessments, and make-versus-buy recommendations. Mentors application engineers, coordinates cross-functional technical reviews, supports project handoffs, and improves quoting accuracy through data analysis, standard work, and lessons learned. The role is fully onsite and requires expertise in precision manufacturing, cost estimating, engineering drawings, materials, inspection, and manufacturing processes.

Fabricates and repairs dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools. Interprets specifications, plans machining operations, operates lathes, mills, EDM, Swiss machines, and grinders, verifies dimensions, heat treats parts, performs assembly and maintenance, connects hydraulic components, and recommends design modifications. Maintains safety and quality standards while keeping the work area clean and orderly.

Develops and scales manufacturing processes for complex medical devices, from project scoping and quoting through production launch. Responsibilities include schedule management, design-for-manufacturing collaboration, fabrication and assembly development, work instructions, training, inspection methods, process validation, quality documentation, and production-floor implementation. Works closely with customers, Quality, Operations, and project teams to meet milestones and improve cost and product quality.
