Writes and edits authoritative summaries of tax cases, legislation, regulations, rulings, and related materials for print and electronic publication. Researches assigned legal and tax topics, creates explanatory content, enters material into a content management system, ensures accuracy and citation quality, monitors developments, meets publication deadlines, and may assign source material to other writers.

Supports author recruitment, contributor communications, submissions management, copyright agreements, permissions, editorial databases, publication workflows, and contributor engagement for the Commentary department. Produces performance reports using Domo and A-Team, maintains editorial tools and webpages, and assists with projects that improve acquisition workflows and departmental efficiency. The role also provides administrative and editorial support while maintaining positive relationships with outside authors.

Designs, develops, modernizes, deploys, and supports backend applications, APIs, microservices, serverless functions, integrations, and cloud-native services. The role involves AWS platforms, databases, search technologies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, application security, production troubleshooting, technical design, and modernization initiatives. The engineer also documents architecture, collaborates across Agile teams, and applies AI-assisted development and AI-enabled application capabilities.
