Designs, develops, modernizes, deploys, and supports backend applications, APIs, microservices, serverless functions, integrations, and cloud-native services. The role involves AWS platforms, databases, search technologies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, application security, production troubleshooting, technical design, and modernization initiatives. The engineer also documents architecture, collaborates across Agile teams, and applies AI-assisted development and AI-enabled application capabilities.

Reports and writes tax-related international news and analytical articles for a daily publication. Covers government events, hearings, court decisions, conferences, and industry developments; conducts interviews, research, and fact-checking; cultivates expert sources; identifies scoops and trends; and meets daily editorial deadlines. The role requires strong tax-law knowledge, excellent writing and communication skills, independent work, and travel to relevant events.
