Lead electrical project engineering across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and handover for a major electric arc furnace project. Develop project plans, technical specifications, and contractor requests; review electrical designs, supervise contractors and OEMs, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery meets safety, environmental, budget, schedule, and technical standards.

Leads a team of approximately 40 electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians, and electricians within a steel manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include safety leadership, asset management, reliability improvement, resource and budget management, shutdowns, capital projects, commissioning, root cause analysis, AI adoption, succession planning, and stakeholder engagement. The role focuses on improving plant availability, reducing downtime, developing engineering capability, and supporting operational and strategic objectives.

Lead process safety engineering across steel processing, roll forming, slitting, fabrication, and composite-panel operations. Maintain risk assessments, safe working procedures, permit-to-work, isolation, and management-of-change systems. Ensure legal and company compliance, plant integrity, contractor safety, critical-spares control, and process safety registers. Manage budgets and capital expenditure, support manufacturing and logistics continuity, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate across functions while monitoring safety, environmental, and operational performance.
