Lead design and implementation of production-grade AI-powered services and agentic systems, build scalable microservices (Kotlin/Java), integrate LLMs and RAG, optimize for performance/cost, improve observability, and mentor engineers while partnering across product, data, and infrastructure teams.

Lead design and build of production AI-powered applications and autonomous agent systems, and develop scalable AI-ready backend services. Craft microservices (Kotlin/Java, Micronaut/Spring), event-driven architectures (Kafka), and data stores (Postgres, Redis). Implement RAG, vector search, prompt/context engineering, observability (OpenTelemetry), and responsible AI practices. Mentor engineers, lead architecture and design reviews, and drive performance, reliability, and operational excellence for Circle Card application services.

The Sr. Engineer will lead penetration testing of applications, manage testing lifecycles, consult with teams, and mentor in security practices.
