Provides mechanical and manufacturing engineering support across production, quality, and engineering teams. Develops work instructions, quality plans, training documents, production processes, cost analyses, and delivery forecasts. Supports quoting, throughput and efficiency improvements, nonconformance reduction, product and process analysis, and customer technical discussions. Reviews specifications, authorizes production decisions, and helps implement strategic manufacturing processes and training.

Designs and maintains automated optical alignment, calibration, and test systems for imaging assemblies and camera modules. Develops alignment algorithms, optical test stations, calibration routines, manufacturing software, GUIs, and closed-loop controls. Integrates cameras, motion systems, PLCs, metrology, and data acquisition hardware. Transitions systems from laboratory environments into production while improving yield, cycle time, and process capability. Collaborates with optical, mechanical, camera, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot and stabilize production processes.

Leads optical metrology strategy and measurement-system development for precision optical components and assemblies. Oversees interferometry, profilometry, alignment, MTF, distortion, calibration, uncertainty analysis, reliability testing, and automated inspection systems. Drives measurement traceability, process improvement, yield enhancement, and root-cause analysis while collaborating with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Provides technical leadership during audits and reviews, mentors metrology staff, and directs technicians.
