Welcomes visitors, answers and routes phone calls, distributes mail, and provides clerical support. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, communication, telephone etiquette, multitasking, dependability, teamwork, and customer service skills. Candidates should have 1–2 years of related experience or training, with healthcare experience preferred, and basic computer software knowledge.

The MDS Coordinator manages resident assessments, MDS coding, care plans, regulatory compliance, utilization management, and timely Medicare and Medicaid reporting in a skilled nursing facility. The role coordinates interdisciplinary care planning, validates medical records, corrects coding errors, supports survey response plans, interviews residents and families, and ensures assessments meet federal and state requirements. The coordinator must be a licensed RN or LPN and may work directly with residents requiring clinical, cognitive, or behavioral support.

Prepares and serves meals, snacks, and beverages to residents and staff; assembles food trays according to dietary orders; cleans dishes, tables, kitchen areas, and equipment; maintains sanitation, temperature, and cleaning logs; stores and labels food properly; reports safety, equipment, supply, and resident concerns; and follows dietary, sanitation, and regulatory procedures.
