The Controller leads the accounting function for a specialty construction company, overseeing monthly and annual close, financial reporting, general ledger, construction accounting, job costing, work-in-progress reporting, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, audits, internal controls, and ERP processes. The role partners with project and executive leadership, strengthens accounting procedures, and leads, develops, and holds the accounting team accountable.

Lead enterprise safety strategy across specialty construction operations and project locations. Develop safety programs, policies, and management systems; conduct audits and executive reviews; investigate incidents; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions; monitor safety indicators; ensure OSHA compliance; and mentor safety professionals. The role partners with executive, operational, project management, and field teams while strengthening accountability, reducing risk, and building a scalable safety culture.

Supports construction project managers from startup through closeout on crane, rigging, steel erection, and specialty construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting with schedules, budgets, cost tracking, submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchasing, subcontractor and vendor coordination, project meetings, risk identification, billing, job-cost reporting, and closeout. The role reviews construction documents, communicates with office and field teams, visits jobsites, and maintains focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
