Review commercial and residential construction plans for code and floodplain compliance, conduct site visits, advise architects/owners, support floodplain/CRS programs, maintain records, and respond to public inquiries.

Lead and manage Planning Department operations, supervise division managers, oversee community planning, permitting, inspections, economic development, natural resource protection, and workforce housing. Support implementation of the Comprehensive Plan and Land Management Ordinance, coordinate regional planning, recommend code and policy updates, and serve as Acting Planning Director as needed.

Lead and execute the citys comprehensive internal and external communications strategy. Oversee communications staff and consultants, media and crisis relations, branding, marketing for city enterprises, budget and policy recommendations, and serve as Public Information Officer during emergencies. Use modern communications technologies to increase visibility, engagement, and revenue.
