Leads architectural projects from pre-design through completion, producing contract documents, coordinating consultants and contractors, managing budgets and schedules, supporting bidding and proposals, and providing construction administration. Serves as Architect of Record while overseeing multidisciplinary project teams and ensuring design intent, technical accuracy, permitting, and client requirements are met.

Creates surveys, plats, topographic maps, worksheets, surfaces, points, as-builts, and paperspace layouts using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Conducts GIS-based property research and investigates rights-of-way, easements, deeds, buffers, and setbacks. Compares as-built conditions with plans and applies CAD standards and surveying terminology while collaborating with project teams.

Leads and supports traffic signal, ITS, broadband fiber, roadway, and pedestrian facility designs for NCDOT, municipal, and highway projects. Performs field investigations, construction inspections, equipment inventories, traffic analysis, signal timing, signing, and pavement marking design. Collaborates with clients and public agencies, participates in public meetings, manages project workflows, budgets, and schedules, and supports client development. Requires transportation design experience, PE licensure, engineering judgment, and proficiency with civil design software.
