Design, analyze, source, build, test, and deploy rugged, high-payload robotic hardware for construction sites. The engineer will own mechanical subsystems end-to-end, perform structural and hydraulic analysis, create manufacturing and welding drawings, apply DFM/DFA and GD&T, manage vendors, execute qualification testing, and support field pilots.

Hands-on Mechanical Engineering intern to design, build, and test robot subsystems. Responsibilities include CAD in NX, mechanism design and analysis, prototype manufacturing, fixture fabrication, test plan creation, troubleshooting, and documentation to support fabrication and assembly over a 3-month Fall internship.

Design and scale the autonomy stack for heavy-construction robots by integrating perception, planning, and control. Build simulation environments, improve perception pipelines and sensor calibration, enable learned-model deployment, develop data collection and validation workflows, diagnose real-world failures, and deploy robust manipulation systems for field use.
