Jobs at Stepping Stones Museum for Children

Designs and facilitates discovery-based, music-focused museum experiences for visitors of all ages. Engages proactively on the museum floor, leads workshops and performances, mentors staff and volunteers, develops and refines programs, and supports community and school partnerships. Requires public-facing facilitation, inclusive practice, and planning/administrative duties for 20-29 hour weekly schedule including weekends and occasional evenings.

Work as part of a three-teacher early childhood classroom team to implement play-based, research-aligned language and literacy curriculum. Support daily classroom operations, ensure childrens health and safety, assist with routines (meals, toileting, transitions, outdoor play, rest), build relationships with families, and collaborate with co-teachers while complying with NAEYC and licensing standards.

Support a 3-teacher early childhood classroom by implementing play-based, ELLI-aligned curriculum; supervise children's routines and safety; build family relationships; collaborate with co-teachers and follow NAEYC and licensing standards.

Provide frontline visitor engagement and education by facilitating exhibit exploration, answering questions, leading tours and birthday programs, and supporting gallery activities. Deliver outstanding customer service, assist with supplies and events, and model positive interactions with children and families. Maintain punctuality, learn exhibit content, and support occasional after-hours events.
