Scale models internationally, oversee data science projects, shape the technical roadmap, and manage the full machine learning product lifecycle from metrics and validation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration. The role also requires mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, strong code and data quality standards, and explaining complex concepts to nontechnical audiences.
