Design and layout electrical schematics and PCBs, support electromechanical prototyping and system design, manufacture prototypes, integrate hardware (and HW/SW), and build flight-capable satellite servicing hardware. Work on-site in Tukwila under ITAR requirements.

Drive business development across commercial and government customers: research opportunities, initiate discussions, build relationships, manage the sales pipeline, support proposals, close contracts, and generate revenue for satellite servicing missions.

Coordinate and execute space industry projects across internal and external stakeholders: define objectives and requirements, conduct research, produce deliverables, track schedules and deadlines, and ensure successful delivery of satellite servicing programs in a fast-paced startup. On-site work in Tukwila and compliance with ITAR-required US person status required.

Develop high-performance embedded software for satellite systems (relative navigation, robotics, grappling). Build and test code across varied compute hardware, create HIL/PIL systems, and support flight-ready autonomous robotics and control software. Must be US-person and work onsite in Tukwila, WA.

Develop, implement, and test autonomous GNC flight algorithms for satellite rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking. Write software, refine guidance/navigation/control algorithms, and support in-orbit RPOD mission testing for the Otter servicing vehicle.

Starfish Space offers SkillBridge internships across engineering, software, systems, business, finance, and technician disciplines. Internships are flexible in length and start date but require in-person work at the Seattle-area office. Applicants should indicate their desired discipline. ITAR restrictions require U.S. persons or those eligible for State Department authorizations.

Develop and maintain space environment simulation software and infrastructure to support autonomous rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking. Build cloud tooling, automate simulation analysis, and integrate with satellite onboard compute systems.

Operate satellite servicing vehicles on-console: upload commands, monitor telemetry, and perform rendezvous/proximity operations. Develop software and tools to improve and scale mission operations.

Support refinement and delivery of the Otter satellite servicing vehicle through performance analysis, systems engineering, satellite integration, and test support. Work with satellite operations, system design, and autonomy teams to deliver life-extension and disposal missions.

Design, build, test, and refine space robotic hardware for satellite servicing, including CAD design, prototyping, manufacturing, and on-orbit capable mechanisms and assemblies.
