Teams at Standard Iron

Manages Division 05 architectural and miscellaneous metals detailing for stairs, railings, ladders, embeds, canopies, and supports. Oversees Tekla Structures models, shop drawings, quality control, BIM standards, fabrication coordination, estimating support, budgets, outsourced detailers, and detailing staff. Provides design, fabrication, constructability, code, and connection guidance while coordinating with architects, contractors, project managers, engineering, fabrication, and field teams.

Provides administrative, organizational, and coordination support for architectural metals fabrication projects from award through closeout. Maintains schedules, documentation, project logs, purchase orders, submittals, change orders, and status reports. Coordinates communication among project managers, customers, vendors, engineering, purchasing, production, shipping, and installation teams. Tracks materials, approvals, milestones, costs, and outstanding actions while identifying potential delays and supporting project delivery within schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.

Supports manufacturing engineering, new product introduction, process design, quality investigations, corrective actions, process optimization, production troubleshooting, technical documentation, and cross-functional project coordination. The role promotes defect-free production, cost reduction, sustainability, safety, compliance, and lean manufacturing practices while providing engineering support to production and customer quality initiatives.
