Assists mill operators with crushing and mill plant operations, maintains clean and safe work areas, performs minor maintenance on screens, rollers, and conveyors, and reports maintenance concerns. The role requires safe work practices, mechanical aptitude, physical strength, communication skills, and comfort working around moving equipment, noise, dust, and hazards. This is a remote fly-in fly-out position on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule.

Supports industrial hygiene and occupational health activities at a mining site, including exposure sampling, MSHA inspections, health risk assessments, data analysis, control implementation, employee notifications, training, equipment calibration, and auditing. The intern coordinates sampling for dust, silica, noise, metal fumes, mercury, and biological hazards while collaborating with employees, supervisors, management, and regulatory agencies.

Operates underground mining and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, planning and executing material movement, driving on radio-controlled roads, and manually loading and unloading tools and consumables. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, independence, teamwork, physical fitness, and adherence to safety procedures. Work is conducted at a remote northern Saskatchewan camp on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off FIFO schedule with 12-hour shifts and occasional overtime.
