Assist civil design teams with roadway and highway project layouts, plans, reports, studies, contract documents, quantity calculations, and cost estimates. The internship is based in Madison, Wisconsin, offers summer full-time or school-year part-time hours, and may lead to full-time employment after graduation.

Process vendor invoices, payment batches, employee expenses, credit card transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations using Deltek Vantagepoint. Research discrepancies, prepare 1099 forms and sales and use tax returns, support month-end close, audits, compliance reporting, and fixed asset accounting. Maintain AP documentation and provide internal and external client support while ensuring adherence to company policies, controls, and regulations.

Supports traffic engineering projects including corridor studies, signal and roundabout design, traffic impact studies, pavement markings, work zone traffic control, detour signing, intersection evaluations, and traffic data collection. Uses Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, SignCAD, AutoCAD, spreadsheets, and word processing tools for design, analysis, documentation, and coordination. The internship is onsite in Madison and may lead to full-time employment after graduation.
