Southwest Solutions

For over 45 years, Southwest Solutions has pursued its mission to enhance the quality of life, success and self-sufficiency of individuals and families in Detroit. The nonprofit organization provides over 50 programs in the areas of human development, economic development, and resident engagement.

Programs include mental health counseling, children and youth services, affordable and supportive housing, homeownership services, real estate and commercial development, workforce development, entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and more. Together, these programs serve over 20,000 people a year of all ages and backgrounds.

Southwest Solutions is one of the most impactful nonprofits in Detroit and is nationally recognized as a model of holistic services and neighborhood revitalization. The organization effectively collaborates with other agencies to identify and address needs in the community through innovative partnerships.

Southwest Solutions employs more than 300 staff persons and is celebrated for its diverse workforce, its person-centric approach, and its mission-driven philosophy and values.
