Teams at Southwest Leadership Academy Charter School

Provide behavioral and classroom support under the Assistant Principal of Climate and Culture. Supervise students during transitions, lunch, drills; record behaviors; implement behavior plans; assist with materials and routines; collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to maintain a safe, organized, and positive school climate.

Support lead and apprentice teachers by working with individual students and small groups, preparing lesson materials, organizing classroom resources, operating instructional equipment, assisting with paperwork, and serving as emergency substitute. Help implement differentiated instruction, remedial/enrichment work, and maintain a well-organized learning environment.

Support the Dean of Students in analyzing discipline data, advising families and staff, implementing behavior systems (PBIS/restorative practices), monitoring uniforms, dismissal, multipurpose room activities, merit systems, and creating monthly disciplinary reports. Supervise climate staff, assist with interventions and staff development, and enforce the Scholar Code of Conduct.
