Design, build, and operate reliable cloud-native systems supporting Southwest’s agentic AI initiatives. Develop AI workflows, microservices, APIs, integrations, and production services; lead technical direction and feature roadmaps; ensure code quality, testing, observability, security, and operational readiness; prevent and resolve production issues; collaborate with product and AI teams; and mentor software engineers.

Lead a software development team in designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating reliable applications. Provide technical oversight for architecture, code quality, performance testing, automation, technical debt, and production releases. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and leadership on delivery planning and estimates. Mentor developers and evaluate emerging technologies. Work with Java, Python, AWS services, Lambda, Fargate, Kafka, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, GraphQL, GitLab, and CloudWatch.

Develop and maintain cloud-based applications, data products, pipelines, dashboards, automation tools, and integrations supporting airline network, schedule, route, and fleet planning. Partner with business, data science, and technology teams to translate workflows into scalable solutions, manage AWS data systems, automate testing and releases, optimize production performance, and support forecasting, scenario modeling, and scheduling decisions. Serve as a technical-business bridge, lead projects, mentor junior team members, and identify process improvements.
