Teams at South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC)

Supervise clients and residential recovery-house activities during daytime and weekend hours. Responsibilities include crisis and group counseling, enforcing house rules, supporting medication processes, documenting activities, conducting safety checks and fire drills, transporting clients in a program van, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance. The role requires lived substance-use recovery experience, knowledge of addiction and 12-Step programs, strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma.

Provides short-term case management to individuals and families seeking affordable, stable housing. Connects clients with internal and external community resources, maintains case records and required data, assists with housing applications and searches, and facilitates housing education workshops. Builds relationships with nonprofits, social services, and municipal offices; supports outreach, intake, and program coordination. Requires bilingual Spanish or Portuguese communication, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.

Provide case management to episodically homeless individuals with relapse histories. Responsibilities include assessments, individualized service plans, referrals, home visits, group facilitation, crisis intervention, documentation, HUD compliance, client engagement, and coordination with shelter, relapse prevention, sober housing, and community-service teams. The role requires ongoing participant contact, accurate reporting, confidentiality, and statewide travel.
