South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) Benefits Overview

Provides case management to episodically homeless individuals with relapse histories. Conducts assessments, develops service plans, maintains client documentation, coordinates referrals, facilitates groups, provides crisis intervention, performs home visits, and maintains ongoing participant contact for up to 24 months. Ensures HUD, agency, and funder compliance while collaborating with shelter, relapse prevention, and sober housing staff. The role requires in-state travel, vehicle operation, and occasional 24-hour cell phone coverage.

Plans and implements developmentally appropriate learning experiences for school-age children while maintaining a safe, healthy classroom environment. Observes and documents development, supports individualized needs, supervises children, maintains attendance and records, follows licensing and safety requirements, and collaborates with families, staff, and community partners. The role also requires participation in meetings, training, family engagement, mandated reporting, and compliance activities. Work occurs indoors and outdoors, including lifting children and performing CPR when necessary.
