South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) Benefits Overview

Provide case management for unaccompanied adults experiencing homelessness, including outreach, assessments, individualized service plans, housing navigation, referrals, home visits, group facilitation, crisis intervention (24-hour coverage), data reporting, and collaboration with community partners and coordinated entry systems.

Oversee EA Stabilization program serving families exiting emergency shelters and MRVP supported housing. Supervise case managers, coordinate housing lotteries and shelter collaboration, ensure timely needs assessments and housing action plans, lead crisis intervention and tenancy preservation, manage MRVP billing, ensure compliance with funding and agency policies, provide on-call support, and facilitate cross-departmental continuity of care to prevent returns to homelessness.

Provide executive leadership and oversight for Family Services, Behavioral Healthcare, and Early Education divisions. Manage operations, budgets, staffing, compliance, grant coordination, and interdepartmental collaboration. Represent the agency publicly, support continuous quality improvement, ensure funder reporting and software/data system use, and partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
