Design mechanical layouts and equipment for parcel sortation and material handling systems. Develop engineering concepts, calculations, specifications, fabrication and installation drawings, and AutoCAD documentation. Collaborate with project teams, review vendor submittals and design changes, and provide technical support during planning, installation, and commissioning. The role is primarily office-based with occasional field visits.

Designs and validates electrical device and panel layouts, motor control and I/O schematics, bills of materials, power distribution systems, industrial control panels, and network architectures. Reviews designs for standards and contract compliance, supports field and project teams, approves design changes, and provides customer installation and commissioning support. The role operates with minimal supervision, may lead others, and requires some travel to customer job sites.

Leads the design and development of automated parcel sortation and material handling systems from concept through execution. Creates layouts, engineering drawings, 3D models, calculations, manifests, and clash detection reports using CAD and BIM tools. Coordinates customer requirements, estimating, vendors, and cross-functional teams while providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning. The role requires travel to customer offices, jobsites, and vendor locations.
