Benefits at Sonos

At Sonos, we care about our employees – after all, we are only as good as the people who work here! As a result, our benefits and perks prioritize the interests of our employees. Sonos offers a choice of comprehensive health and welfare plans for eligible employees and their dependents such as competitive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, bonuses for employee referrals, reimbursement for continuing education and professional development, among others.

Music Services Program: we care about listening deeply at Sonos and music is ingrained in who we are. We offer Sonos employees free music services to ensure that they can listen to the music they love freely.

Work-life balance: we know that everyone has busy lives – appointments, soccer practices, a quiet space to finish that report and more. Sonos prioritizes a healthy work-life balance. Most of our US roles can be done remotely, allowing employees to choose between being home-based or office-based. We support flexibility and understand our employees have lives and commitments outside of Sonos, and empower them to manage their time and calendar accordingly.

Vacation Time: paid time off varies across our global locations. In the US, in addition to 10 paid company holidays, employees are encouraged to take time to disconnect and recharge through our open time off policy. It includes vacation, floating holidays, volunteer days, jury duty, your birthday and bereavement. Employees decide, with manager approval, what days and time off are important to them.

Parental Leave: Parental leave is the farthest thing from “time off;” rather, it is a precious and vital time to bond with a new baby and adjust to a new family situation. It’s also important to acknowledge that for a birthing parent, dedicated time is additionally needed for recovery from what is truly a major medical event. Taking time to heal, recover and bond is a critical aspect of care and well-being. Sonos offers a minimum paid leave of 12 weeks to birthing and non-birthing parents (including those who have children through surrogacy, fostering, and adoption), globally. All birthing parents are entitled to a minimum of 6 week of additional medical leave for recovery. Any parent is eligible for 6 weeks of unpaid baby bonding time, on top of the 12 weeks paid.

Sonos Product Employee Discount: all employees receive Sonos product discounts to ensure that music continues filling their homes.

Mental health: One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to mental health so we’ve designed a solution that meets people where they are. A few examples of our support services include a mental health employee resource group that creates space to share resources and talk; a mental health support channel further supporting employees with mental health challenges; robust EAP and benefits providing a variety of mental and physical health related programs; and services through Modern Health offering therapy, coaching, group support and digital mental health resources.

Rituals: Being a member of the Sonos community and a valued contributor to both our culture and business success necessitates an understanding of both the business context relevant to Sonos’s strategy and your work, and the social and environmental context that impacts the people who work here. We’ve established rituals to bring our virtual community together to share must-know information (Sonos Sessions) as well as opportunities for employees to opt in based on personal interests. Examples include: Slack Communities, External Perspectives, Virtual Concerts, Virtual Block Parties, ERG-Led Events, New Hire #Intros & Anniversaries.
