Leads Solo.io’s in-house legal function, primarily drafting and negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, licensing, data processing, partner, reseller, and vendor agreements. Owns contract templates and playbooks, advises on privacy, security, open-source licensing, employment, AI governance, trade compliance, and corporate matters, and manages outside counsel. Partners with executives and cross-functional teams to assess risk, streamline legal processes, and support strategic transactions.

Leads and develops Solutions Engineers across the Central and West regions while owning technical wins for complex enterprise opportunities. Partners with sales leadership, leads architecture sessions and proofs of concept, builds repeatable presales assets, coaches formal sales methodology, and positions cloud-native, service mesh, API gateway, and agent infrastructure solutions. Represents customer and competitive feedback internally and externally through workshops, events, and technical content.

Provides pre-sales technical expertise for cloud-native solutions, partnering with sales teams to understand customer challenges, deliver presentations and demonstrations, lead proof-of-concept projects, and provide architectural guidance. The role focuses on Kubernetes, microservices, cloud migrations, API gateways, and service mesh technologies. It also involves customer advisory, solution adoption support, competitive knowledge, technical evangelism, and up to 30% travel across the U.S. East Coast.
