Teams at Solar Turbines

Manage a team of 8-15 design engineers responsible for gas turbine product problem resolution, design enhancements, manufacturing support, engine assembly and test cell support, and field/customer support. Lead cross-functional collaboration, oversee Windchill change management, prioritize APDM budgets and workflow, drive continuous improvement (Lean), and manage hiring, performance, and career development to meet product and business objectives.

Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical/electronic systems and production test equipment (PLCs, VFDs, generators, switchgear). Perform functional testing with diagnostic tools, follow NEC and safety procedures, execute lockout/tagout, and support generator/package initial loading and production test operations.

Design, develop, and validate electrical hardware and control systems for gas turbines and related equipment. Create electrical schematics and PLC ladder-logic control software, support software testing and simulation, coordinate with customers and manufacturing, assist field commissioning and safety risk resolution, and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and product readiness.
