Teams at Solar Turbines

Designs and analyzes gas turbine aerodynamics, including flow paths, airfoils, exhaust diffusers, collectors, and qualification testing. Develops aerodynamic design methods, software, and automation tools; collaborates with mechanical design, heat transfer, and performance teams; and supports new engine programs, upgrades, durability, manufacturing, and field issue resolution. Requires gas turbine aerodynamics experience, aerodynamic design tool expertise, and coding proficiency.

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to machine parts per engineering documentation, perform independent setups, make machining adjustments, inspect parts with precision instruments, maintain tooling and coolant systems, and support other departments. Onsite, second-shift role.

Design and analyze aerodynamic systems for Solar gas turbines, including flow paths, turbine airfoils, exhaust diffusers, and collectors. Develop and maintain aerodynamic design methods, software, and analytical tools. Support engine programs, testing, product upgrades, and resolution of durability, manufacturing, and field issues. Collaborate with mechanical design, heat transfer, and performance teams to meet manufacturability, cost, durability, and performance requirements.
