Staff Engineer and founding team member responsible for designing and developing a greenfield, cloud-native banking platform. The role includes hands-on Java development, AWS architecture, API development, automation, SRE, testing, observability, zero-downtime deployment, security, compliance, and performance. The engineer will mentor teams, translate business requirements into technical solutions, research technologies, and collaborate closely with the CTO, product designers, compliance teams, and business stakeholders.

Build and lead Solance’s Fund Services sales business by opening doors, developing relationships, creating pipeline, and closing clients across asset managers, fund administrators, CSPs, law firms, tax advisers, and introducers. Own the client book, shape the niche’s brand, provide market insight, and work closely with the CEO to grow the business and potentially build a team.

Own Solance’s payment rails and core platform strategy, including access models, infrastructure partners, settlement, reconciliation, liquidity, ledger architecture, and long-term participation in payment systems. Lead vendor negotiations, challenge roadmaps and pricing, build internal payment knowledge, and manage relationships with sponsor banks, scheme operators, and infrastructure providers. Operate within a regulated environment while communicating effectively with the board and engineering teams. The role is Dublin-based with regular travel.
