Leads month-end close, financial reporting, technical accounting, reconciliations, internal controls, audit support, and accounting process improvements across multiple operating businesses. Supervises and develops accounting staff, coordinates shared-services activities, oversees treasury, fixed assets, leases, debt, accruals, and tax-related accounting, and partners with finance, treasury, tax, operations, and leadership stakeholders.

Coordinates U.S. and Canadian payroll tax compliance, payments, reconciliations, filings, audits, and tax agency inquiries. Maintains payroll tax accounts, researches discrepancies, processes withholding forms, supports year-end W-2 and T4 activities, and files amended returns when needed. Leads HRMS tax release testing and provides payroll tax support for business transactions and special projects. The role also assists with manual checks, positive pay, invoice reconciliation, HRIS setup, and compliance policy implementation.

Leads HR strategy and execution for an approximately 400-person MBTA account workforce across union and non-union populations. Partners with operations on staffing, retention, employee relations, performance management, labor relations, grievances, investigations, compliance, and workforce planning. Oversees recruiting support, engagement, onboarding, and retention initiatives while advising leaders on employment law, collective bargaining agreements, and risk. Manages an HR Employee Relations Specialist and HR Assistant.
