Lead the disassembly, inspection, and failure analysis of heavy blast furnace equipment. Evaluate components, develop repair or refurbishment strategies, interpret engineering documentation, prepare technical reports and scopes of work, estimate repair costs, coordinate suppliers and departments, verify quality compliance, manage non-conformance reports, and approve equipment readiness for shipment.

Supports the design, programming, integration testing, and validation of Level 1 automation and control systems for steelmaking equipment. The intern translates process requirements into PLC solutions, assists with HMI and controls engineering, documents lessons learned, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and gains exposure to commissioning and industrial site work.

Participate in a 12-week, full-time mechanical engineering internship involving a department project, mentorship, cross-functional discovery sessions, site tours, customer-site visits, networking, and a capstone presentation to leadership. Interns will gain exposure to metals production and multiple business functions while developing ownership, collaboration, innovation, and leadership skills.
