Responsibilities include designing solutions, writing and reviewing code, building RESTful middleware, testing, documenting systems, estimating work, resolving technical issues, and supporting DevOps practices. The role requires Java and Spring expertise, API and SQL experience, Docker and CI knowledge, and collaboration across business and technical teams. Healthcare, HL7/FHIR, and full-stack experience are advantageous.

Provides advanced application and production support for healthcare data platform implementations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex incidents, developing Java-based enhancements and bug fixes, supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment tooling, participating in on-call rotations, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, QA, and clients. The role also provides technical leadership, mentorship, architecture guidance, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Develop AI/ML strategy and production software for Smile Digital Health’s healthcare data platform. Design architectures and implement semantic matching, RAG, document parsing, agentic systems, knowledge graphs, and evaluation workflows. Write clean, tested, documented code, integrate external components, conduct reviews, collaborate with clients and product teams, contribute to technical strategy, and mentor developers in an Agile environment.
