Provides mechanical and electrical technical support for internal and external customers. Evaluates product applications, troubleshoots pneumatic and electrical circuits, interprets schematics, configures communication protocols, researches technical solutions, and communicates recommendations. The role applies product design knowledge, engineering principles, inspection equipment, and CAE tools while supporting customers, mentoring teams, and participating in product-related projects. Travel for training, customer support, and trade shows is less than 35%.

Participates in a 12-week sales development program covering SMC products, manufacturing automation, sales strategies, supply chain, customer support, and technical applications. Trainees rotate through departments, complete sales and technical training, join customer visits, practice selling scenarios, and collaborate on a customer pitch. Successful participants may transition to outside sales at an assigned branch. The role includes office and field work, occasional team travel, lifting products up to 50 pounds, and varying work hours.

Supports strategic initiatives and complex pricing projects by analyzing business data, developing performance metrics, preparing reports, and recommending pricing strategies. Coordinates cross-functional project teams and presents findings to Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Logistics, and Marketing. Also assists with team training, mentoring, report review, and accuracy oversight.
