The Principal Research Engineer leads complex research projects on energy systems, provides technical expertise, develops strategies, and mentors staff while focusing on climate impact and innovation.

Lead and manage research projects assessing building decarbonization, energy efficiency, and equity impacts. Conduct primary and secondary research, field measurements, data cleaning and analysis, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and proposal development. Communicate findings to clients and partners and support securing new research funding.

Lead technical analysis and multidisciplinary projects to evaluate and improve building and community energy systems. Conduct field studies, design engineering solutions for HVAC, controls, electrification and DERs, mentor staff, present findings, and support proposal development and business development to scale equitable decarbonization solutions.
