Own Slingshot AI’s public communications as its first in-house Comms Lead and editor-in-chief. Identify compelling stories from research, clinical trials, safety work, and user experiences; translate technical information into accessible content; and publish consistently across blogs, LinkedIn, press releases, videos, and media channels. Manage reporter relationships, shape core messages, support executives and experts with communications, and oversee external freelancers or agencies when needed.

Develop and implement AI safety principles, policies, and operational processes for a mental health product. Investigate user reports and emerging risks, coordinate triage and escalation, translate findings into product improvements, and communicate safety practices internally and publicly. Collaborate with clinical, legal, engineering, research, and machine learning teams while handling sensitive information and making decisions under uncertainty.

Defines and measures high-quality conversations for an AI mental health product. The role develops behavioral benchmarks and evaluations, establishes safety constraints, makes evidence-based product decisions, and recruits and coaches distributed human reviewers. It partners with clinical, safety, conversation, and machine learning teams to improve model behavior, maintain reviewer calibration, and evaluate difficult conversational edge cases. The role requires clinical psychology expertise, measurement experience, strong interpersonal skills, and comfort working alongside ML teams.
