The role also drives strategic government and commercial sales, customer insight, bid participation, team development, and international sales organization growth.

Build and scale evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and simulation-backed validation systems for agentic AI used in autonomous space mission planning. Develop SDKs, evaluation harnesses, metrics, benchmark scenarios, and failure-analysis tooling for multi-step, tool-using, and autonomous AI workflows. Translate astrodynamics and mission concepts into executable scenarios while partnering with AI researchers and domain experts. Ensure robust engineering through testing, documentation, reproducibility, and maintainable design.

Leads a software engineering team building backend services, APIs, and product integrations. Responsibilities include people management, technical direction, architecture reviews, delivery planning, vendor coordination, API and integration standards, testing, observability, security, release readiness, and production support. The manager also recruits and develops engineers, manages dependencies and risks, and ensures reliable, maintainable solutions across internal teams, customers, and external technology partners.

Leads capture strategy and proposal development for government, defense, intelligence, commercial, and international pursuits. Builds capture plans, coordinates cross-functional teams and external partners, oversees compliant submissions, supports pricing and competitive analysis, establishes scalable processes, and develops the Capture & Proposals team. Requires extensive federal acquisition, proposal leadership, stakeholder management, and security-clearance eligibility experience.

Leads strategy, roadmap, and execution for Slingshot Aerospace’s core platform. Oversees Product Management, manages product managers, coordinates cross-functional delivery, prioritizes scalable and reliable platform capabilities, and establishes product operating rhythms. Partners with Research, Innovation, Engineering, Design, and leadership while communicating platform performance, progress, and risks. The role also serves as product program lead and requires eligibility for U.S. government security clearance.

Lead mechanical engineering for ground-based electro-optical space-surveillance systems. Design telescope enclosures, structures, mounts, optomechanical assemblies, and precision electromechanical hardware for harsh environments. Perform structural, thermal, tolerance, and dynamic analyses; create fabrication-ready drawings; collaborate with suppliers; and lead prototyping, assembly, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting. Support remote field installations, environmental qualification, maintainability improvements, technical proposals, customer engagements, and mentoring.

Manage cloud security across AWS, Azure, and classified environments. Design secure software development practices, automated CI/CD security pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and compliance-as-code solutions, cloud access controls, observability, and container security for Kubernetes and Helm. Support critical applications, participate in Agile delivery, and communicate security findings to stakeholders. The role requires strong DevSecOps experience, networking knowledge, scripting skills, and an active or attainable TS/SCI clearance.

Designs and maintains scalable AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, Terraform-based IaC, and CI/CD pipelines. Integrates MLOps and DevSecOps practices, automates deployment and system administration, monitors performance and cost, supports incident response, and collaborates with engineering teams to improve platform architecture and reliability.
