Build and operate Horizon, SkySpecs’ full-stack asset-management platform for renewable energy. Responsibilities include designing scalable systems, services, APIs, infrastructure as code, user experiences, internal tooling, automation, testing, observability, and deployment workflows. The engineer independently drives ambiguous initiatives from concept to production, collaborates cross-functionally, reviews code, leverages AI-assisted development, improves reliability and security, and mentors others while preparing for future engineering leadership.

Build and maintain infrastructure and integrations that move CMS, SCADA, and other customer data into cloud platforms. Monitor and resolve connectivity issues, support AWS infrastructure, respond to data support tickets, collaborate with service delivery teams, and improve connectivity processes for scalability and reliability. The role requires Linux command-line expertise, knowledge of data protocols, networking, and IT security, plus flexibility to support global operations outside normal business hours.

Build strategic relationships with wind and solar asset owners, coordinate internal teams, execute customer contracts and proposals, conduct product demonstrations, identify upsell opportunities, maintain Salesforce records, deliver reports, and regularly support customers. The role includes up to 2% travel, occasional evening calls, and a monthly weekend emergency on-call rotation.
